ATTENTION! Hanjin has declared bankruptcy.  Their interchange has been cancelled at the Harbors.  Their vessels cannot be offloaded, their empties cannot be terminated.  This has created an industry issue whereby chassis are now limited in rotation as all Hanjin containers are sitting on them.  Chassis charges are accruing against the trucker interchange, which gets passed onto customer.  Storage for Hanjin empties has congested trucker's yards.  Storage is accruing against the customer too.  

All containers that behin with HJCU or SENU belong to Hanjin and there is no return site and no date thus far for solution.  However, other Hanjin boxes are leased, and there is a termination site, though off hire yards are filling fast.

As a result J&D Transportation, Inc is no longer accepting Hanjin Delivery Orders for containers which begin HJCU or SENU.  For all our customers who have Hanjin Empties, we are terminating the leased boxes as soon as we are given the release for it.  Hanjin boxes (HJCU & SENU) are being stored at our yard until we get instructions.  You can reach out to your Hanjin representative for instructions and email us with your findings: customerservice@jd-transportation.com

Yesterday, a federal bankruptcy judge in New Jersey issued an order that will prevent any further interchange of Hanjin containers (including empties, imports or exports).  We regretfully inform you that as a result, APM Terminals can no longer make any Hanjin container available for pick-up unless expressly approved by a Hanjin representative.   We remain committed to working with you to reduce the impact we are all experiencing from this unfortunate event and will update you on our policies and procedures as the bankruptcy court considers the matter further." -APM TERMINALS
